Test Track Gear Shop, the Test Track gift shop, has reopened at EPCOT amid Annual Passholder previews for the reimagined attraction.

Test Track Gift Shop Opens

The latest iteration, known colloquially to fans as Test Track 3.0, will officially open on July 22. The Gear Shop, its exit gift store, is also set to open on that date. The Gear Shop is the replacement for the former SIMPorium and occupies the same space.

A variety of previews are being held before the public reopening, and while attending one of the Annual Passholder previews, we were able to see the Gear Shop as well.

While the ride has undergone some major changes, the shop has not. It underwent a refurbishment to ensure everything was in like-new condition, but there are no huge differences. Pictured above, on the left, is the old design, while the photo on the right shows the new look.

The shop has the same color scheme as before. The dimensional decor on the walls above the shelving has been replaced with flat panels featuring geometric designs.

Some of the displays have graphics on the shelf backing. In the middle of the shop, atop another merchandise rack, is a display with hexagons, arrows, and more in the same blues and greens, plus a couple of mannequins.

The biggest change is the new logo. Test Track 3.0 received an updated wordmark, featured on the marquee outdoors. It can also be found inside the Gear Shop behind the checkout counter. This includes the updated “General Motors” sponsorship branding.

The shop carries a variety of merchandise, including snacks, bubble wands, Cars souvenirs, and more. A Fuel Rod station and a pressed penny machine can be found here as well.
