Minion Land will be home to a Halloween Horror Nights scare zone for the first time this year, with set pieces now in place.
Minion Land Scare Zone
The scare zone sets begin outside the Universal Studios Store. This is likely The Origins of Horror scare zone. Connected to the event’s overall Conservatory theme, The Origins of Horror is “a decaying conservatory of twisted vines where artists carve tributes to Halloween Horror Nights 34.” Guests will “encounter monstrous crows, gargoyles and more.”

The sets resemble stone platforms with columns and steps. There are two almost identical platforms in front of the Universal Studios Store and next to Wicked: The Experience.

Down the street, outside Villain-Con, is a larger faux stone set. It includes a podium with wrought iron fencing around it.
Fast & Furious House

We can now see some theming at the tent next to Fast & Furious: Supercharged. There is some kind of wooden facade with what looks like orange leaves on a tree branch in front of it.
San Francisco

Outside the Fast & Furious: Supercharged exit, the platform installed a few weeks ago now has a set of stairs leading up to it.

The Coca-Cola and fishing theming on the trusses around the platform are leftover from the Jaws overlay in the area and are not related to HHN. This area may house the Mutations: Toxic Twenties scare zone.
Animal Actors on Location!

Outside Animal Actors on Location!, there are now multiple towers with lights atop them, pointing towards a platform in front of the flagpoles. We don’t know if this platform is related to the nearby scare zone — The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane — or for a different experience.
The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane

There are now broken window elements atop these three structures for The Cat Lady of Crooked Horror. Each is a white half circle with black framing and fake glass inside.

Moving into the Central Park area of Universal Studios Florida, there are dozens of new decorations for the Cat Lady scare zone. Several rusted bikes are leaning against the fences, with vines twisting around them.

The bikes may belong to the trick-or-treaters who have been transformed into feral felines, according to the house’s description.

There are flat black cat decorations atop the fences. More realistic prop cats may be added to the area later or the living cats may only be represented by scareactors.

In addition to bikes, there are pieces of clothing on barrels. These may be the discarded costumes of the transformed trick-or-treaters.

There are also classic Halloween decorations, like flat ghosts and pumpkin garlands. There are some autumnal leaves. Sitting next to a few of the bikes are paper jack-o’-lantern trick-or-treat bags.

Larger set pieces are made to look like stone and brick.

A black skeleton sits on one of the bikes. This looks like it’s supposed to be a decoration, not the remains of a trick-or-treater.

Barrels and a large crate sit at this park entrance in front of the Lew Wasserman statue. There are various Halloween decorations and costumes stacked atop them.

It looks like a clown has lost their polka-dot clothing and rainbow wig.

there’s a discarded doll in a polka-dot onesie.

Hanging from the tree branches over the scare zone are dozens of jack-o’-lanterns.

We looked but didn’t see the famous Lil’ Boo. Maybe he’ll join his siblings later.

Another barrel is covered in classic Halloween decorations and a flannel jacket. There’s a black cat statue wearing a witch’s hat. A lantern holds a white candle.

A dirty plush ghost is on a carved pumpkin next to the barrel.

Garlands of witch cats and orange leaves criss-cross the railings.

Two faux brick columns mark the main entrance to the scare zone. White plastic covers hardware on the inner sides of the columns, possibly indicating gates may be added to them later.

One column features a “9 Crooked Lane” sign with two cats.
Battery Park

Past Crooked Lane, the trusses leading into Battery Park are now covered in red scrim. This area usually has a bar and character appearances.
Masquerade: Dance with Death
The park’s Hollywood area is home to Masquerade: Dance with Death. Elaborate themed stages were installed on this street earlier in July. There are now matching columns with wrought iron gates.

Themed light fixtures have also been added to the corners of each reddish-brown stage. These are tall gold-tone lamps.
A third reddish-brown stage was added since our last update. It has a black panther design in its faux stained glass. These stages also now have A-frame Halloween Horror Nights signs and red stanchions blocking guest access.
The white marble stage does not have the lamp fixtures. It may be the main stage of the scare zone, considering it has a slightly different design.
A pair of columns with gates is at the end of the scare zone closest to The Bourne Stuntacular.
