Disney Cruise Line has shared some new pictures of the new Spider-Man stern character, which has now been installed on the Disney Destiny.
Disney Destiny Stern Character
A recent Instagram post from Disney Cruise Line has shared a first look at the completed stern character for the Disney Destiny. The caption included with the post reads, “Spider-Man has swung onto the #DisneyDestiny’s stern, and it’s nothing short of amazing! Drop a 🕸️ in the comments to celebrate your friendly neighborhood hero at sea.”
The character looks extremely similar to the previously-released concept art for the ship, which has Spider-Man swinging across the stern in the wake of some Spider-Bots. This marks the first time in Disney Cruise Line history that Marvel superhero, or any Marvel character, will be featured as the stern character for a new ship.
Disney had previously released a behind-the-scenes look at the stern character while it was still in development.
The Disney Destiny will showcase a heroes and villains theme and will debut multiple brand-new experiences, including a Cruella de Vil piano lounge, a Disney’s Oceaneer Club with a Wreck-It Ralph entrance area, and a Broadway-style show based on Hercules. Disney also shared a first look at the cover art for an original Marvel comic being created exclusively for the Disney Destiny.
The Disney Destiny will embark on its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025, from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
