Leading up to the Fourth of July fireworks at Walt Disney World on Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4, the Magic Kingdom area resort hotels have shared their fireworks viewing procedures and restrictions for this year.

For Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, wristbands will not be needed for fireworks viewing on Thursday, July 3. However, for Friday, July 4, the process will be a bit different than past years.

This year, four wristbands for fireworks viewing on Friday will be distributed to each guest room sometime in the evening on Thursday. Resort guests who need more than four wristbands, or didn’t receive theirs for some reason, can pick them up at the Great Ceremonial House or the Island Tower lobby on Friday evening.

At Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, fireworks viewing on the terraces will require that guests be staying at the tower. Wristbands for viewing on Friday will also be required, and four will be distributed to each guest room on Thursday evening.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Fireworks Viewing

There will be no restrictions on viewing fireworks from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, regardless of whether a guest is staying at the resort or not.

At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, fireworks viewing will be available on the fourth floor both July 3 and 4, with no wristbands required. However, Bay Lake Tower viewing will be reserved for Disney Vacation Club members only, with MagicBand access required to enter.

“Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” will be performed at 9:20 p.m. ET on July 3 and 4, 2025. The 14-minute show includes fireworks, patriotic music, and projection effects on Cinderella Castle.
