One of the marquees of World of Disney at Disney Springs has been removed, and banners now hang in its place.

The change affects the World of Disney entrance closest to Amorette’s Patisserie. The marquee structure, including the store’s sign, is gone. To make sure the store is properly labeled, “World of Disney” decals are over the windows above the entrance doors, and banners hang on the columns.

For comparison, above is what the entrance looked like with the marquee. It was a wood-style frame that connected the building to the columns. A “World of Disney” sign was on the front of the marquee.

The only remnants of the marquee are two horizontal beams running from the building to the columns. It’s not clear if the marquee has been removed permanently or for a refurbishment.

The banners feature Mickey icons against a two-tone red background and the “World of Disney” name in the same style as signage.

This isn’t the only interesting construction project at the flagship merchandise store. The Cinderella statue outside another entrance was recently removed, mere months after her last refurbishment.
