Disney announced the launch date for the new ESPN direct-to-consumer streaming service.

The service will launch alongside an enhanced ESPN App on Thursday, August 21, coinciding with the start of college football and NFL seasons, US Open tennis, international soccer, women’s college soccer, volleyball, field hockey, and more.
The streamer will offer two plans.
The unlimited plan will be $29.99/month or $299.99/year with access to all of ESPN’s linear networks: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes – in addition to ESPN on ABC, ESPN+, ESPN3, SECN+, and ACCNX. This plan covers 47,000 live events each year, on-demand replays, studio shows, original programming, and more. Bundling opportunities for this plan with Disney+ and Hulu include a special offer at launch for $29.99/month for the first 12 months.
The select plan, priced at $11.99/month or $119.99/year, will offer access to ESPN+, covering more than 32,000 live events, a library of exclusive studio shows, on-demand replays, original content, and more.
Existing ESPN+ subscribers will automatically become subscribers to the select plan.
The enhanced ESPN App will introduce a more personalized, dynamic viewing experience. New features include updated multiview options, integrated game stats, betting information, fantasy sports and commerce, and a personalized SC For You.
