Even more props, lighting features, and displays have been added as Universal Studios Florida prepares for Halloween Horror Nights 34.

Battery Park

Last year, Battery Park was home to The HHN Bar, with various characters from the event appearing.

The TV screens that displayed HHN videos and graphics during last year’s event have returned. The archway, which has been covered in scrim, has been uncovered, as well.

There are five tall scaffolding towers in the courtyard of Cafe La Bamba. Lights now stream between the towers. The restaurant’s bar window usually becomes a themed eatery during HHN.

Boris Shuster’s Office

As always, we’ve got our eyes on Detective Shuster’s office window. With the bat totem and Cthulu-esque figure both missing, something strange is afoot at the Circle K park.

 Masquerade: Dance with Death

Arched gates open to a street lined with people and buildings under a sunny, partly cloudy sky.

The Masquerade: Dance with Death scare zone is located in the park’s Hollywood section, through columns with iron gates. It has four stages, all with fake stained glass images.

This stage is located outside the Studio Styles facade. Since our last update, candles have been added to tall lampposts and to the wall ledges. Glass goblets have also been added to the golden tiered stand. This is possibly a fountain out of which a liquid (blood?) could flow during the event.

The white marble stage also now has several candles adorning the lampposts and walls.

Here is the description of Masquerade: Dance with Death.

You’re invited to a masquerade ball where bloodthirsty vampires lurk behind ornate disguises. When their masks fall, you’ll become their prey.

The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane

A blue, weathered house facade is displayed on a platform outdoors under a sunny sky with palm trees nearby.

The Central Park area of Universal Studios Florida hosts The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane scare zone. Previously, the walls and windows of the house had been constructed. Now, a roof structure has been added to the weathered house.

In addition to the roofing, there look to be props leaning against the windows inside the walls.

The Cat Lady scare zone has the following description:

Travel down a spooky winding path to a mysterious home, where trick-or-treaters are transformed into feral felines. Be careful or you’ll be next.

San Francisco

The only update to this area is the addition of large lighting fixtures to the trusses, which have been in place for quite a while. This area may house the Mutations: Toxic Twenties scare zone.

At Universal Studios Florida, Halloween Horror Nights 34 runs on select nights from August 29 through November 2.

HHN 34 will have the event-wide theme of The Conservatory. This year’s haunted houses include the IP-based WWE Presents: The Horrors of the Wyatt SicksFive Nights at Freddy’sTerrifierFallout, and JASON UN1V3RSE (Friday the 13th). The original houses will be Gálkn: Monsters of the NorthGrave of the FleshDolls: Let’s Play DeadHatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters, and  El Artista: A Spanish Haunting.

Scare zones are The Origins of HorrorMasquerade: Dance with DeathThe Cat Lady of Crooked Lane, and Mutations: Toxic Twenties.
