Reviews
Cauldron Cooler – $17.50
Hendrick’s Gin, Domaine de Canton Liqueur, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup and Butterfly Pea Extract

You get a lot of gin in this drink, and you smell it before you taste it. It’s pretty sticky and syrupy in texture. It’s a basic gin drink, but we like the light floral flavor from the butterfly pea extract. It’s not bad at all.

Snake Egg Surprise (Nonalcoholic) – $6.75
Simply Lemonade, Lime Juice, Desert Pear Syrup and Green Apple Boba Pearls

This is a really nice non-alcoholic juice drink. The desert pear syrup is just sweet enough, and the overall flavors of the drink are well-balanced. We have no notes, this is great!

The Spike Trap – $16.50
Malibu Coconut Rum, Stoli Vanilla Vodka, Cream of Coconut and Sprite garnished with a Ghost Marshmallow

This is fantastic. Caution that it is served in a tilted glass and is easy to spill. It avoids being too sweet, which we appreciated. And, of course, the ghost Peep is an adorable touch.

Scarab Beetle Essence – $16.50
Siesta Key Silver Rum, Malibu Coconut Rum, Bols Blue Curacao Liqueur, DOLE Pineapple Juice and Grenadine

It’s smoky but in a bad way. We almost wonder if we should’ve drunk this without mixing it, leaving the grenadine at the bottom. This is just not good. The Malibu rum hits up against another ingredient and causes almost a smoky, bitter flavor. We’d go so far as to call it “undrinkable.” The presentation is fine, but it can’t save this.

Alien Invader Sliders – $16
Crispy Nashville hot fried chicken, sliced provolone, dill pickle slices, cheddar-chive biscuit, and queen olives

It’s very dry due to the cheddar-chive biscuit, which can be expected. The flavor, though, is great despite the effort it takes to eat it. The chicken itself is pretty good, and the presentation is very cool. As far as “Nashville hot” goes, the chicken is not spicy at all.

Cursed Mummy Sausages – $14
Mini Smoked Sausages wrapped in Puff Pastry and served with Pomegranate-Mustard Sauce

Their little faces were so cute, we almost didn’t want to eat them. However, we’re glad we did. The puff pastry is perfectly buttery and flaky. Unfortunately, the sausage was a little too chewy, but we still recommend these. The pomegranate mustard sauce is to die for (just ask the mummies). This could have been a home run if it weren’t for the sausage.

Skull of the Dead – $16
Mojo Pork, Cheddar, Flour Tortilla, and Pickle Pico de Gallo

These are great. The sauce wasn’t listed, and when we asked, we were told it was a sauce to drizzle on, which wasn’t very descriptive. It tasted like a citrus-heavy thin salsa or picante sauce. The pickle pico de gallo was great. (Wouldn’t “pickle de gallo” be punnier?) It complements the rest of the dish very well, bringing everything together. This was one of the best things we had on this menu.

Phantom Dumplings – $14
Chicken and Pork Dumplings wrapped in Rice Paper and served with Teriyaki Dipping Sauce

These are fantastic. We love their little faces. The rice paper is a little cumbersome to eat and doesn’t add much to the overall flavor. The teriyaki dipping sauce is great. The dumplings are just okay, but the presentation is very cute.
