Halloween is on the horizon at Disneyland Resort, as the iconic giant Mickey Jack-o’-Lantern has been installed on Main Street, U.S.A., and the Headless Horseman has returned to Disney California Adventure.

Giant Mickey Pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A.

The massive carved pumpkin has been a Halloween staple at Disneyland for over 15 years. It has once again taken its rightful spot on Main Street U.S.A., where Town Square and the street meet.

Mickey’s smiling face is carved into both sides of the pumpkin. The side facing guests’ path inside Disneyland is smiling with both eyes wide open, as seen above. On the way out of Disneyland, the Mickey face is “carved” to look as though he’s winking. Two more pumpkins make up his “ears,” and he lights up at night.
Entrance Jack-o’-Lanterns

Smaller (but still pretty big) jack-o’-lanterns of Mickey and Friends are above the main entrance gates. There are depictions of Pluto, Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, and Donald among regular pumpkins and green vines.
Partners Statue Pumpkins

At the Partners statue near Sleeping Beauty Castle, Jack-o’-Lanterns depicting various Disney and Pixar characters representing the park’s lands have been set up.

These pumpkins include:
- Tarzan for Adventureland
- Jack Skellington for New Orleans Square
- Woody for Frontierland
- Tiana for Bayou Country
- Tinker Bell for Fantasyland
- Roger Rabbit for Mickey’s Toontown
- Buzz Lightyear for Tomorrowland
New for this year is the Tiana pumpkin. She replaces the former Pooh Jack-o’-Lantern, which represented Critter Country. The land was renamed to Bayou Country when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened last year.
Main Street Vehicles

The Main Street vehicles have also gotten a bit of decor for the fall, with orange, yellow, and maroon bunting on the top story of the Omnibus.

On the Horse-Drawn Street Car, fall-themed bouquets line the exterior above each entrance.
Haunted Mansion Holiday

Last-minute preparations continue as the Haunted Mansion transforms into Haunted Mansion Holiday for the fall and winter seasons. The ride overlay is scheduled to reopen on August 22 and will be open through January 7, 2026.

The wait time sign for the attraction has been decked out in black and white pinstripe bows and black garland.

Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws has taken his place on the entrance gate, with the Haunted Mansion Holiday banner set up on black garland overhead. A sign on the gate advises guests to return on August 22.

As for the exterior of the mansion, it is completely covered in its annual Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired decor. Jack’s sleigh is parked on the roof, his Christmas formula tumbles down the side of the stately home, and pumpkins decorate the roof and sit upon a few of the fenceposts. Black garland lines the upper balcony.

The countdown wreath is in place above the entrance, currently marking “000” Days to Xmas.”

Headless Horseman
Disney California Adventure is also getting into the spirit of Halloween, with select decorations now in place. Namely, the Headless Horseman has taken his spot in the planter just past the park’s entrance.
Stores Get Spooky Bunting

Select shops on Buena Vista Street have also received purple-themed bunting to tie everything together for the Halloween season. Oogie Boogie Bash has already begun its season at the park; check out the event map and wristband, the full list of merchandise (with prices), a breakdown of treat trail locations, and our video of the Frightfully Fun Parade.
Carthay Circle Restaurant

Carthay Circle Restaurant in the center of Disney California Adventure has minimal decorations.

The windows at the top of the iconic tower appear to have black bats flying out of them.

The Carthay Circle marquee has an “All Hallows’ Eve Celebration” sign on its front.
Haul-O-Ween in Cars land

Cars Land is now celebrating “Haul-O-Ween.” A spooky billboard and car scarecrow greet guests at the front of Radiator Springs.

The iconic monster faces hang over the main road. These are made out of orange cones and tires. They’re accompanied by metal spiders, webs, and chains.

Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree is now Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree. The seasonal overlay includes Halloween music and additional decorations.

There are parody Halloween movie posters featuring cars. Have you seen Attack of the Space Zombies from Planet B, Hocus Spokus, Haulin’ Mansion, or Escape to Hitch Mountain?

This garden is overrun with jack-o’-lantern gas cans and giant spiders made of car parts. A tree is wrapped with purple and orange string lights.

Cozy Cone Motel is ready for the holidays with jack-o’-lantern-style faces added to the cones. There’s also orange garland trimming the check-in building and around the lampposts.

A sipper inspired by these jack-o’-lantern cones will be available starting later this week.

A nearby billboard declares “Trunk or Treat.” On the back of the billboard is the phrase, “Get your hex on Route 66,” a play on “Get your kicks on Route 66.”

A spider car sits outside Flo’s V8 Cafe.

Radiator Springs Curios is adorned with Halloween trinkets. A witch car silhouette is on the shop’s sign above a “Happy Haul-O-Ween” sign. The nearby gas pumps have spooky faces added to them.

A monster car is twisted around the tree in front of the shop.

Guido is ready for Halloween. He’s parked outside Luigi’s Casa Della Tires, wearing a black cloak. A sign for “Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween” is on the tire tower in front of the store. Orange decorations have been added to the tires.

Ramone’s House of Body Art has a sugar skull car and barrels of marigolds for Day of the Dead.

Inside is an ofrenda mostly dedicated to the late Hudson Hornet. Among marigolds and papel picado are the Hornet’s trophies, a newspaper, a photo, and more.

Lightning has donned his superhero costume including a blue mask and cape with the branding “LMQ.”

The statue of Radiator Springs founder Stanley now wears a witch’s hat.

Behind Stanley, the city hall has traffic cone teeth over its garage doors. Jumper cables run to a wreath and windows made to look like eyes.
Plaza de la Familia

Paradise Gardens has transformed into Plaza de la Familia, celebrating Day of the Dead. A pair of skeletons welcome guests into the world of Pixar’s Coco.

The bandstand is adorned with papel picado and a backdrop with the quote, “Music is my language and the world es mi familia.” A sugar skull, guitars, and flowers are across the center of the decoration.

Guests can visit the Tree of Life, a large decorative tree featuring marigolds and skeleton figures. It’s blocked by potted plants and stanchions.

Construction walls in the area are adorned with sugar skull images. Purple and orange lights hang in the trees.

The area’s gazebo has become Miguel’s Memory Box, where guests will be able to meet Miguel. In the windows are marigolds.

Inside, papel picado criss-cross the ceiling. A large 3D backdrop features images from Coco, depictions of Dante and Pepita, candles, and flowers. “Recuérdame” is across the top.
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort officially kicks off on August 22.
