BREAKING: New “it’s a small world” Boats Added to Attraction in Magic Kingdom

Four brand-new “it’s a small world” boats have been added to the attraction at Magic Kingdom.

Red Boat

A group in Mickey ears ride new boats inside Magic Kingdom’s “it’s a small world,” looking ahead with excitement.

The new boats added into the ride’s boat rotation are shiny and clean, without scratches or normal attraction wear and tear.

One of the new boats is red with lighter peach-colored bench seats.

Blue Boat

People ride new boats in Magic Kingdom’s "it’s a small world," gliding under a decorative arch on the indoor water ride.

Another of the new boats is a darker shade blue. The bumper on the front indicates how new these actually are, with no major signs of damage that usually leave marks across the front.

The blue boat has teal seating. From this angle, you can tell that no scrapes, and the edges of the seat are freshly painted.

Green Boat

Guests sit in new boats on the it’s a small world ride, waiting to depart inside Magic Kingdom’s beloved attraction.

The third new boat added to the attraction rotation is green, leaning toward teal.

Like the other new boats, this one has no major signs of wear on the areas that usually show the most damage, such as the small ledge where guests step into their seats.

The interior of the boats, including the backs of the seats, warning labels, flooring, and black lining are also shiny and clean.

A Cast Member working at “it’s a small world” did confirm there are a total of four new boats. In addition to the three pictured above, there is a fourth new boat in purple. This one was not currently in use when we visited on August 2.

This is not the only update to “it’s a small world” in the recent weeks. The final verse for the attraction’s theme song was added just a few weeks ago in honor of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary.
