Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Florida has a new safety warning video.
New Revenge of the Mummy Safety Video
The safety video, below, plays on several screens in the Revenge of the Mummy queue right before the loading area. It begins and ends with a Revenge of the Mummy the Ride logo that wipes away with a sand effect. It includes footage of guests riding the coaster with the warning, “This is a high-speed roller coaster filled with sudden dramatic motion.”
It then transitions into a graphic listing ride requirements. It states guests with these conditions should not ride: heart conditions or abnormal blood pressure; back, neck, or similar physical conditions; expectant mothers; and motion sickness or dizziness. It reminds guests that those under 48 inches may not ride and that video recording and photography are not allowed. These warnings were already listed on signs at the ride’s entrance and throughout the queue but were not previously included in the safety video.
The next section of the video demonstrates the boarding process with footage and descriptions: “Move quickly to your seat. Lower your lap bar. Keep feet under shin pad. Remain seated at all times.”
Watch the new safety video below.
The old safety video was much shorter, with footage of guests riding the coaster accompanied by this warning and no further information:
This is a high speed roller coaster that includes sudden and dramatic acceleration, climbing, tilting, dropping, and backwards motion.
The old safety video also inexplicably used some footage from The Incredible Hulk Coaster at Universal Islands of Adventure.
You can see part of the old safety warnings video in our Revenge of the Mummy queue tour below, at the 12:35 timestamp.
