We Tried 23 Food & Drinks at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party – Reviews and Ratings

After trying all the Halloween food available during regular hours at the Magic Kingdom, we set our sights on the exclusive offerings for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Read our reviews and ratings below.

The Main Street Bakery

Location

The Main Street Bakery is located on Main Street, U.S.A., near Town Square.

Menu

Food:

  • Mickey-shaped Cheesecake – $6.49
  • Mickey-shaped Cinnamon Roll – $7.49

Reviews

Mickey-shaped Cheesecake – $6.49

Pumpkin Cheesecake with Graham Cracker Crust and White Chocolate-whipped Ganache

This dessert has a heavy pumpkin flavoring. The crust is flaky, and the overall texture of the cheesecake was perfect. Our reporters are a little anti-pumpkin, but definitely grab this if pumpkin is your thing.

Rating out of 7: 6

Mickey-shaped Cinnamon Roll – $7.49

with White Icing and Halloween Sprinkles

This is okay, but not great. Ultimately, this is your very basic Mickey cinnamon roll with the added Halloween sprinkles. The dough was pretty dry, and we really could’ve used a coffee to dunk this in. We think this should be a regular daytime menu item instead of a party-exclusive snack, because then you could get it for breakfast and have it made fresh.

Casey’s Corner

Location

Casey’s Corner is located on Main Street, U.S.A., near the Cinderella Castle Hub and across from The Plaza.

Menu

Food:

  • Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn Hot Dog – $14.99 or Footlong for $15.99
  • 🆕 Candy Corn Verinne – $5.99

Reviews

Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn French Fries – $7.99

French Fries topped with Fire-roasted Corn, Queso Fresco, Jalapeño Ranch, and Cilantro

The chipotle barbecue pork on top of these fries is the exact same meat served on many of the dishes at this location throughout the day, so we didn’t think this was as important to buy as a party-exclusive item. The fries are just soft enough to eat with a fork, which we recommend to not make a mess. These are good, but not the most Halloween-themed item available.

Rating out of 7: 4

Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn Hot Dog – $14.99 or Footlong for $15.99

All-Beef Hot Dog topped with Fire-roasted Corn, Queso Fresco, Jalapeño Ranch, and Cilantro

This was better than expected, but the coleslaw is strangely sweet. It also has cilantro, which we don’t love. The pork is overcooked, and the bun gets soggy quickly. Otherwise, this is a decent choice to get some variety on a regular hot dog.

*NEW* Candy Corn Verinne – $5.99

Layers of Salted Caramel Ganache, Marshmallow Panna Cotta, and Whipped Cream topped with Caramel Corn and Candy Corn

There are only a few actual candy corn pieces on the top, but the rest of the dessert has a mild candy corn flavor that is present without being overkill. We were surprised this was not as sickly sweet as we expected. This was served cold, which was refreshing and welcome after a hot Halloween night in August. It has a texture similar to Jell-O or panna cotta, so your enjoyment will depend on your texture preferences.

Menu

Food:

  • 🆕 Cajun Crawfish and Sausage BOOtine – $13.49
  • 🆕 Beignets From Beyond – $8.79

Beverages:

  • 🆕 Hot Honey Lemonade – $6.29

Reviews

*NEW* Cajun Crawfish and Sausage BOOtine – $13.49

Waffle Fries topped with Cajun-inspired Crawfish, Andouille Sausage Gravy, and Cheese Curds

This is a great value for the price, and came with way more crawfish than we expected. The sauce has all the flavors of a Cajun seafood boil, in the best way. There is a mild spice kick, but it’s nothing to be afraid of. The cheese curds were only okay and had a mild processed tang, but the sauce was so good we didn’t care. We very nearly gave these a 7.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Beignets From Beyond – $8.79

Light, sweet, and fluffy Beignets with Powdered Sugar and Chocolate Cookie Crumbs served with Cookies and Cream Cheese Dipping Sauce

On the other hand, these were miserable. The dough was insanely dry, and the cream cheese dipping sauce did absolutely nothing to help. With the added powdered sugar, this just made us really, really thirsty. In the words of one reporter, “Rest in peace.” Grab the Halloween beignets from Disney’s Port Orleans Resort instead, those are always good.

Rating out of 7: 1

*NEW* Hot Honey Lemonade – $6.29

Minute Maid Premium Lemonade with Hot Honey and a Chili-Lime Rim

This one was spicier than we anticipated, even with the lemonade, though it mellows out a bit after you stir. That being said, the hot honey and lemonade combination actually works well when you get both in one sip. If you are okay with spicy drinks, you will like this a lot. We give it points for being unique.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

Location

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is in Frontierland near the Prairie Outpost.

Menu

Food:

A tray from Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party with flatbread, orange churros, and chicken with sauce and veggies.
  • 🆕 Buzzard Wings – $11.99
  • 🆕 Grilled Masa Flatbread – $12.99
  • 🆕 Pumpkin Pie Mini Churros – $6.99

There was supposed to be a Chocolate-Caramel Tart, but it was not available when we visited.

Reviews

*NEW* Buzzard Wings – $11.99

Whole Chicken Wings tossed with Grilled Onions, Jalapeños, and Lime

We adored these chicken wings. There are a ton of chicken wing options at Walt Disney World, so you might be tempted to skip these, but don’t. The meat was flavorful, juicy, and tender. The glaze-type sauce over the top tasted like ginger or a light soy sauce teriyaki. These also have a bit of a spice kick, more than we usually get with Magic Kingdom.

Rating out of 7: 6

*NEW* Grilled Masa Flatbread – $12.99

Grilled Corn Cake topped with Braised Chicken, Butternut Squash Puree, Cilantro-Pumpkin Seed Sauce, Shredded Lettuce, Pico de Gallo, and Queso Fresco

Note that this one comes with cilantro-pumpkin seed sauce, and the cilantro is pretty difficult to avoid if you are not a fan. The corn cake as the crust is unique and actually has a good crunchy texture. There is a lot of chicken for the price, and it was all very fresh. We would get this again, especially to share.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Pumpkin Pie Mini Churros – $6.99

Rolled in Orange Sugar and served with Pumpkin Pie Dipping Sauce

This is easily one of the top churro options currently available in Walt Disney World. The churro game in Magic Kingdom is usually not as strong, and they are often dry. However, these were very moist and soft, with just the right amount of crispy exterior. The orange flavor was not very present, but we would still recommend them for the texture alone. They were out of the dipping sauce when we visited, so we did not include it in our review.

Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

Location

Sleepy Hollow Refreshments is in Liberty Square across from Ye Old Christmas Shoppe.

Menu

Food:

  • 🆕 Creepy Kimchi Corn Dog – $10.29
  • 🆕 Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae – $8.99
  • Madame Leota Seance Candle – $6.29
  • Jack Pop – $5.75
  • Sally Pop – $5.75

Reviews

*NEW* Creepy Kimchi Corn Dog – $10.29

Hand-dipped Corn Dog rolled in Malt Vinegar and Scallion Ash with Hades Relish and Kimchi-Mayonnaise Dipping Sauce

The Hades relish over the top has a potent vinegar smell, which could be unpleasant. But visual and smell aside, this was actually really good. The best part is easily the kimchi-mayonnaise dipping sauce, as the corn dog doesn’t have much of a flavor without it. That’s okay, because the sauce is delicious and we wish we could get it on everything. We would buy the sauce in a bottle if they sold it. We docked one point because $10 for a corn dog is a little overpriced.

Rating out of 7: 5

*NEW* Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae – $8.99

Pumpkin Funnel Cake topped with Pumpkin Gelato, Whipped Cream, Pumpkin-spiced Caramel, Marshmallow Pumpkins, and Sprinkles

Do not let the picture fool you, this is a full size plate and the funnel cake is massive. The sundae uses the same pumpkin gelato from the Pumpkin Sundae available from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. It tastes like Thanksgiving in dessert form, and the gelato balances with the heavy cake base.

Rating out of 7: 6

Madame Leota Seance Candle – $6.29

Red Velvet Cake and Cookies and Cream Mousse

This is extremely sweet. The red velvet cake is moist, though the layers quickly started melting everywhere in the heat. We appreciated the fun aesthetic, and it takes great pictures. You will love this if you are a raw sugar dessert fan, but hate it if you aren’t.

Rating out of 7: 4

Jack Pop – $5.75

Chocolate fudge brownie with marshmallow filling and topped with a Jack chocolate piece

This is a brownie fudge pop dipped in a hard outer shell. The chocolate exterior actually tasted more like fondant, as opposed to a literal chocolate dip, so it wasn’t very flavorful. The brownie was not overwhelmingly rich or dense, but this was very one-note.

Rating out of 7:3

Sally Pop – $5.75

Yellow pop with raspberry filling topped with a Sally chocolate piece

We liked the outer shell of this pop better than the Jack version, as it had a slightly better texture. This one is filled with raspberry, which we liked because it added an extra flavor to the yellow cake. We liked this one better than the Jack Pop, but we would still recommend most of the other options at this location more.

Spring Roll Cart

Location

The Spring Roll Cart is in Adventureland near the land’s entrance leading into the Cinderella Castle hub.

Menu

Food:

  • Spicy Pork Spring Roll – $9.50

Reviews

Spicy Pork Spring Roll – $9.50

with Pineapple Mustard

At this point, we feel like they just make any flavor combination into a spring roll. We got absolutely no spice, and the pork interior was extremely mild. It was also pretty dry. The mustard sauce started off good, but we started disliking it as the pineapple flavors became more prominent.

Storybook Treats

Location

Storybook Treats is in Fantasyland near The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. As one important note, this location closed early at 10 p.m. on the night of our party.

Menu

Food:

  • 🆕 Urusla Cone – $8.29

Reviews

Ursula Cone – $8.29

Wild Berry Soft-serve with Candy Coral and Citrus Cotton Candy in a Black Vanilla Cone

The berry soft-serve reminded us of the milk you have left over after eating a bowl of Fruity Pebbles cereal. If you want to feel some childhood nostalgia, this is for you. The size was big, the presentation was perfect, and a chilled dessert is exactly what we wanted after walking all the way to Fantasyland. We liked this a lot.

Rating out of 7: 6

Cheshire Cafe

Location

Cheshire Cafe is in Fantasyland near Mad Tea Party.

Menu

Food:

  • Mummy Treat – $6.29

Reviews

Mummy Treat – $6.29

Flaky pastry filled with chocolate-hazelnut filling and topped with white icing stripes and sugar eyes

This is very similar to the other pastries, namely the Cheshire Cat Tail, available at this location. The vanilla icing was soft and added a little more sweetness than the usual snack. While it may have been pure timing, ours was freshly made and super soft as a result. If you like the usual Cheshire Cat Tail and want something a little sweeter, we would recommend this.

Rating out of 7: 5

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies

Location

Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies is in Tomorrowland near Star Traders and the Astro Orbiter.

Menu

Food:

  • 🆕 Candy Bowl Sundae – $7.79

Reviews

Candy Bowl Sundae – $7.79

Salted Caramel Soft-serve topped with Chocolate Cone Dip, SNICKERS bar pieces, TWIX cookie bar pieces, M&M’s Milk Chocolate Candies Halloween Blend

We could be very easily convinced to buy this again. It seems like Auntie Gravity always serves a great Halloween treat. Despite appearances, this is not too sweet, and the caramel is present throughout. The extra chocolate dip over the top was hard and provided a necessary bit of texture.

Rating out of 7: 6

The Lunching Pad

Location

The Lunching Pad is in Tomorrowland near the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.

Menu

Food:

  • Jalapeño Popper Dog – $14.99
  • 🆕 Skull Cake – $5.49

Reviews

Jalapeno Popper Dog – $14.99

All-Beef Hot Dog topped with Sriracha Cream Cheese, Crispy Onions, Bacon, and Hades Relish

We wish the price for this hot dog was not so high, but we still recommend it anyway. The sriracha cream cheese immediately elevates this from a normal hot dog to something special. The crispy onions add some texture, and the spice is present without being the sole flavor. We were very pleased with this, and would definitely get it again.

Rating out of 7: 6

Skull Cake – $5.49

Banana Cake filled with Dulce de Leche

This dessert was very weird and flavorless. We tasted no banana at all, or really anything at all. The texture was harder than a cake should be. The presentation was cool, but not enough to save this from being near the bottom of our list.
