The Halloween Horror Nights 2025 Terror Tram is once again based on the most famous horror films of Blumhouse, celebrating the studio’s 15th anniversary. Though a similar theme to last year’s Terror Tram, there are differences for the 2025 experience.
Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse
Terror Tram is a Halloween Horror Nights overlay of the World-Famous Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The most terrifying Blumhouse villains of the past 15 years are taking over the Terror Tram. And they’re all coming for you. The diabolical M3GAN, The Grabber from beyond the grave from The Black Phone 2, the ruthless killers from The Purge franchise, The Blissfield Butcher from Freaky, The Babyface Killer from Happy Death Day. And more.
Entrance & Safety Video

Guests enter the Terror Tram through the regular Studio Tour entrance on the Upper Lot. A wait time is posted outside. The last tour of the night departs at 11:15 p.m.
Before even boarding, guests encounter a few scareactors. They then head down the elevators to the trams.
The safety video has a “technical difficulty” as M3GAN hacks the system. She presents safety information in a threatening manner.
The tram driver then informs guests that M3GAN has also hijacked the tram and scanned the neurotransmitters of every person on board, so she knows exactly what they’re afraid of and has crafted a terrifying experience.
A sizzle reel of clips from Blumhouse movies plays, and then M3GAN informs guests that this is as far as the tram goes. They pull up outside the walking portion of the experience, near the Bates Motel.
M3GAN is waiting for guests outside a Blumhouse logo facade. She’s joined by other Blumhouse villains with chainsaws who “attack” guests.
Black Phone 2
Guests then head inside the Black Phone 2 section, which replaces the M3GAN section from last year’s Terror Tram. Guests encounter the Grabber as they hear, “Nothing burns like the cold.” The serial killer is seen ice skating around a snowman and wielding an axe at a phone booth.

An unmasked Grabber greets guests next to his van — and brandishes a knife hidden in flowers.
There are a couple more Grabber scareactors and some dead bodies, then guests head into the Insidious section.
Insidious
Insidious has taken over the Bates Motel set, which was based around Happy Death Day and Freaky in 2024. Guests hear a voice-over about The Further, then walk past various ghosts and the Red Face Demon popping out of doorways.

They recite lines from the films as they jump scare guests. There are also a few mannequins, with scareactors hiding among them.
The Exorcist: Believer
As guests enter The Exorcist: Believer, a possessed little girl chants, “The body and the blood!” There are bedroom set pieces, one with a child chained down. The fence walls are decorated with scary drawings.
Lamashtu, the demonic antagonist of The Exorcist: Believer, jumps out to scare guests and tell them they’re going to die. This section was dedicated to The Black Phone last year.
Photo Ops
Guests get a brief reprieve from jump scares as they move to the next maze section. There’s a M3GAN meet and greet.
There’s also the bloody Hollywood sign, with mannequins of Blumhouse antagonists, which guests can stop and take photos with.

Around the corner is the Bates Mansion from Psycho, a staple of the regular Studio Tour. Though not a Blumhouse IP, the mansion is incorporated into the Terror Tram with a Norman Bates meet and greet.
The Purge
Guests then enter The Purge, which once again takes over the War of the Worlds set.

Guests begin in a maze of fencing decorated with neon graffiti. Purgers in glowing masks jump out at guests with weapons.

A pair of Purgers dance and brandish butcher’s knives next to a police car wrapped in lights.
M3GAN has joined the fun, electrocuting a burnt body attached to a rack.

Construction workers and other purgers attack guests as they reach a crashed plane, a set piece from War of the Worlds.

Various Purgers continue to threaten guests. Fencing is decorated with The Purge-related signage.
A group of patriotic purgers includes a Lady Liberty and an Uncle Sam stilt walker. There are Purge graphics projected on the plane.
Final Blumhouse Section
A pair of rabbit purgers greet guests at the entrance to the final area, which features a few different Blumhouse characters.
Guests enter a small house set where M3GAN warns them she’s “run the simulation a thousand times and it always ends the same way — you die.” Other killers from Blumhouse films jump out of hiding spots in the set.
Outside, multiple Grabbers with chainsaws pace, waiting for victims. Guests then arrive at a tram to return to the park.
After exiting, there’s one more photo op in front of a Blumhouse 15 backdrop. The Grabber was there when we exited, but other characters may appear.
