Disney Skyliner 2027 Refurbishment Closure Announced

Walt Disney World announced the early 2027 refurbishment dates for the Disney Skyliner.

The Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from January 24, 2027, through January 30, 2027. Complimentary bus service will be available.

The Disney Skyliner usually closes in January for maintenance. It will be closed from January 25 through 31 in 2026.

The Disney Skyliner is a complimentary transportation system at Walt Disney World. It’s a gondola lift system that opened in 2019. It’s comprised of five stations that service four resorts and two theme parks (Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT), with a fleet of over 250 gondola cabins that can hold up to 10 guests each, or up to six with an open wheelchair or electric scooter.

It is the only gondola system in North America to have separate stationary loading and unloading platforms at each station, with the exception of the Disney’s Riviera Resort station. It’s also the second double-loading aerial lift system in the U.S.A.
