Elio Will Stream on Disney+ This Month

The Disney animated film, Elio will stream on Disney+ on September 17.

Elio follows Elio, an 11-year-old boy who is accidentally beamed up to the Communiverse. Communiverse includes representatives from all over the universe, and the aliens think Elio is the official ambassador for humans. He must now represent the human race even though he felt like he didn’t belong.

Elio goes on a journey of self-discovery and true belonging as he interacts with the aliens. Overall, we thought Elio was entertaining with the strong emotional themes and clever nods to the sci-fi/horror genre. Check out the full review.

The movie was one of the worst opening-weekend debuts in Disney studio history.

Streaming Date

Elio will begin streaming on Disney+ on September 17. It debuted in theaters on June 20 after a year-long delay, and it had its digital release on August 19. If you’re eager to watch now, the movie became available in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 9.
