Giant $250 Version of Disneyland 70th Anniversary Key Now Available

The giant, limited edition version of the Disneyland 70th anniversary key is now available in-person at Disneyland Park.

Giant Disneyland 70th Anniversary Key – $250

A Disneyland 70th Anniversary giant key with a “D” on one end, displayed in a glass case, priced at $250.

This item is a massive-sized version of the regular Disneyland anniversary key used for the Key to Disneyland experience.

However, it is important to note that the two keys are not identical in function. This massive key is not intended for use with the Key to Disneyland experience, and does not contain the mystery pin in the handle that the regular-sized version includes. The giant key does still light up in multiple colors and plays the various songs for each Disneyland location.

A large, colorful, illuminated letter "D" collectible sits on a wooden shelf in a room with art and wooden decor.

Like the smaller key, this large version has a handle shaped like a large Disneyland “D” accented with blue. There are multicolored lights in the handle that match the colors of the land icons. Next to the “D” is a Disneyland 70 logo with the silhouette of Sleeping Beauty Castle in pink above the number. Also like the smaller version, the handle has buttons for turning on the lights, changing their colors, and playing the sound effects.

A giant Disney key with glowing lights floats above a jagged, frosted acrylic shape in a glass case.

The opposite side has the outline of Sleeping Beauty Castle in white with more lighting effects.

A Disneyland collectible key with colored lights is displayed; a sign reads "Limited Edition Giant Disneyland Key, 250.00".

Even though the larger key does not interact with the keyholes for the experience, it still has the icons for each of the 9 key stations scattered throughout the park. The light colors are identical, and the music that plays with each land is the same.

The giant Disneyland 70th anniversary key is a limited edition of 3,000.

The giant key comes in a huge yellow box with the Disneyland 70 castle logo. The box notes that this is a “Collector Key Set” and it only includes “lights & sound effects.”

A large blue $250 version Disneyland 70th Anniversary box with Mickey Mouse art sits by a payment terminal.

Art on the back of the box shows Mickey wearing his special 70th anniversary costume, alongside another illustration of the key itself and the Disneyland 70 wordmark.

There is also a paragraph explaining a little more of the background for the key:

The collector key is a token to remember the magical festivities during the Disneyland Resort 70th anniversary celebration. Inspired by the Key to Disneyland limited time activation in Disneyland Park, the collector key will unleash the magic again with special light sequences and sound effects. Showcase these unforgettable memories at home with limitless play and display.

The sides of the box have the full Disneyland 70 wordmark in its usual shades of blue and pink. One important note is that this box is even larger than the key itself and quite heavy, so we recommend having it shipped or stored while you complete your visit instead of trying to carry it around Disneyland Park.

Location

An art studio with framed artwork displayed on walls, a central desk with drafting tools, and an illuminated display case showcasing a castle artwork. The room, reminiscent of a haunted mansion, boasts ornate wood paneling and a high ceiling.

We found the giant key being sold in Disneyana at Disneyland Park. Disneyana is located on Main Street, U.S.A., next to the Disney Gallery. The store also had one of the giant keys on display for guests who want to take a closer look.
