Halloween decor, including giant edible displays, has arrived at both the Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian Hotel. The decor this year includes references to The Haunted Mansion, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mickey pumpkins, and more.

Disneyland Hotel: Entrance Display

The entrance of the hotel has three fall bouquets standing in vases on tables. Behind the floral arrangements, a Haunted Mansion backdrop is attached on the wall. Text near the top reads, “Welcome to the Disneyland Hotel.

The scene is from the famous Stretching Room, with portraits of Sally Slater (tightrope walker/alligator), Alexander Nitrokoff (The Ambassador/dynamite), Constance Hatchaway (The Black Widow/tomb), and The Quicksand Men (men standing in quicksand).

Two images of gargoyles holding candles stand between the portraits among the striped wallpaper.

A large Mickey pumpkin edible display near Goofy’s Kitchen and the Broken Spell Lounge puts guests in the Halloween spirit. Mickey is surrounded by smaller pumpkins and leaves. There are 13 hidden Mickeys in the display.

The sign reads,

This festive 5-foot Mickey pumpkin was created by a team of six Cast Members, who dedicated more than 240 hours to its construction.

  • 120 pounds fondant
  • 60 pounds chocolate
  • 55 pounds rice cereal
  • 30 pounds marshmallows
  • 30 pounds powdered sugar
  • 10 pounds butter

Disneyland Hotel: Goofy’s Kitchen

Heading to Goofy’s Kitchen, outdoor and indoor decor add some spooky flair for a special Halloween experience. Outside, two ghosts stand on each side of the Goofy’s Kitchen sign, which has also been updated to show Scarecrow Goofy lying among pumpkins.

Scarecrow Goofy and other Halloween decals greet guests as they enter the restaurant.

Inside, large Mickey and Minnie pumpkins sit on brown crates. Fake grass and more jack-o’-lanterns add to the rustic feel of the display. This looks like it belongs at Storytellers Cafe instead of Goofy’s Kitchen.

Other decor features photos of the Sensational Six in Halloween costumes along the wall, a Halloween scene on the check-in counter, and more Scarecrow Goofy signs.

The Goofy meet and greet location has changed to accommodate the Halloween-themed dining experience. Floral arrangements sit on each side of the kitchen. The kitchen has new wraps on the columns with candy corn and purple bats. A sign at the top reads, “Happy Halloween.”

There are jack-o’-lantern decals on the range hood and oven, as well as spooky faces on the pots and pans.

Grand Californian Hotel: Nightmare Before Christmas Display

Jack Skellington & Sally hold hands and look at each other on top of The Spiral Hill against the backdrop of the moon for this large display.

Jack-o’-lanterns and vines are gathered around at the bottom of the mountain on one side. Zero flys above the tombstones of a graveyard on the other side.

A green monster statue with gravestones and pumpkins is part of the Halloween Decor at the Grand Californian Hotel.

The other side of the display shows Oogie Boogie standing among a graveyard with jack-o’-lanterns. The moon hangs behind him.

A sign lists Halloween Time confectionery ingredients, with Disneyland Hotel Halloween decor and pumpkins in the background.

Nearby, a sign reveals more information about the display, including its ingredients. It reads,

Over the course of 800 hours, our talented pastry team brought to life a creation fit for the Pumpkin King himself, crafted from:

  • 140 pounds of fondant
  • 175 pounds of chocolate
  • 150 pounds of powdered sugar
  • 105 pounds of rice cereal
  • 38 pounds of cereal
