Hollywood Studios gift shop roof refurbishment at Movieland Memorabilia, the entrance gift shop of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, has been undergoing a refurbishment for the past several weeks.
Movieland Memorabilia Refurbishment

We first noticed signs of construction on the roof on August 26, 2025. The edge of the light pink section had apparently been chipped away and reconstructed. There was also a section further down, near the teal and darker red stripes, that was covered by a scrim on both sides.

By September 20, 2025, the tallest point of the roof structure was covered in scrim and more of the light pink section had been redone. The lower dark pink and teal sections were covered in scrim on just ne side. The side facing the park had a significant amount of new gray concrete visible.

As of September 26, all of the scrims are gone from the roof. The fresh concrete on the side of the shop facing away from the park is now smooth. The light pink section has been repainted.

The top edges of the teal and dark pink sections are gray and splotchy from the new concrete. It looks like they are ready to be repainted, so this will likely get fixed soon.

The other side is a bit messier for now. There is still a lot of splotchy gray concrete visible. So far, there have been no design changes to the building, and its characteristic neon remains.

Movieland Memorabilia is a round kiosk, with most of its merchandise found outside the park gate, offering last-minute souvenirs to guests leaving. There is a display of plush characters on the inside of the park, and Cast Members usually have a trading pin board. It’s located in the same building as Guest Services.
