Hong Kong Disneyland Announces Jungle Cruise Halloween Overlay

Jungle River Cruise, the Hong Kong Disneyland version of Jungle Cruise, will offer a Halloween overlay this season.

The overlay was teased on Instagram by Michael Moriarty, the Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The Instagram Reel didn’t include any details about the overlay, just some creepy shots of the Jungle River Cruise at night and a pair of scared-looking skippers.

The caption reads, “Something’s amiss at the Jungle River Cruise🛶Who’s ready for a new after-dark story?” The hashtags include #DisneyHalloweenTime.

It sounds like the overlay will only be open at night, while the regular version of Jungle River Cruise will be open during the day.

Jungle River Cruise previously offered a Halloween overlay with the subtitle “Curse of the Emerald Trinity” in 2015. It included green lighting, fog, projection mapping, and additional scary set pieces. It also only operated at night for the month of October.

We don’t know if this year’s overlay will be the same or similar to Curse of the Emerald Trinity.
