Following his return to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Japan, the creepy bear HamiKuma has made his U.S. merchandise debut with a new collection available at Universal Studios Florida for the first time.
HamiKuma Merchandise Collection
HamiKuma Spirit Jersey – $85

The first new item is a black Spirit Jersey, which has the brand’s official tag on one side.

A printed image of HamiKuma’s face is placed on the left chest. There is also a printed slash near the bottom left side with candy and beads spilling out. This references the design of the original HamiKuma, which has a slash across part of his stomach.

The back of the jersey has much larger art. His full name is written in white puffy ink across the shoulders, in usual Spirit Jersey fashion.

Below the name is art showing the upper half of HamiKuma’s body. He again has some candy and multicolored beads dripping out of his stomach, and one eye is popping out of its socket. According to his backstory, HamiKuma was a side show act in a traveling circus, but his fellow performers became jealous of his popularity. They also believed a rumor that he wasn’t a real bear, so they slashed open his belly to exposewhat might be inside.

The art is mostly flat, but the stitching on the side of HamiKuma’s face is made with more puffy ink for added texture.
Furry Baseball Cap – $35

The next HamiKuma item is this brown furry baseball cap. Like the Spirit Jersey, it is based on the classic brown version of HamiKuma, not one of the more recent additions like HamiKuma Soul or HamiKuma Candy.

Embroidery on the upper half of the front shows HamiKuma’s face, including his crooked smile, nose, and eyes. As per usual, one blue eye is stretched out of its socket.

The hat has small furry ears on either side, replicating HamiKuma’s bear ears. They have red plaid fabric in the middle.

The plaid fabric is repeated on the underside of the brim. The back has a plain tan adjustment strap.
HamiKuma Plush Ear Headband – $30

Made in the style of previous Universal plush ear headbands, this item combines a traditional ear headband with a plush character sitting in the middle. The ears themselves are covered in brown fur with red plaid fabric in the middle, just like the baseball cap.

Sitting in the center of the headband is a small plush version of HamiKuma. The bear has white claws extending out from his paws and an embroidered face. Some blue and red ribbons are tied around his neck to make a bow.

The back of the headband is mostly plain, though the fluffy brown fabric does continue around the sides of the ears.
HamiKuma Coin Purse – $20

HamiKuma also comes in purse form. This small bag, which could either be a coin purse or short crossbody bag, is shaped like HamiKuma’s head. His face is embroidered on the front in its usual style.

One more red and blue bow made of ribbons hangs below the bottom of the bag in place of his neck.

The back of the bag is plain brown, but there is a clear plastic slip pocket covering half of the fur. The plastic has the Universal Studios logo, but does not list a specific park.

The interior of the bag is plain brown. There is only a single zipper pouch with no other compartments. The bag comes with a black adjustable carry strap. The strap has a white pattern of candy, beads, and HamiKuma’s name in a pointed font.
HamiKuma UNIVRS T-Shirt – $35

The HamiKuma t-shirt is short-sleeved with a crew neck. It’s gray and features the bear across the torso with his name near the hem.
Location

We found most of these items being sold at Five & Dime in Universal Studios Florida, though there is also a HamiKuma plush keychain that was already sold out.

All of the HamiKuma merchandise is placed together in a dedicated display area by one wall. This display has a video screen playing The Origin of HamiKuma, which was also recently uploaded on YouTube, for those not as familiar with the bear’s story.

Above the display is some new signage with HamiKuma’s name and an image of him creeping over the top of the shelf.
