Lighting is now being added and tested on Adventure Way as part of the expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park, which is soon to be renamed Disney Adventure World.
Lighting Down Adventure Way

The lampposts lining Adventure Way are now lit for the first time. This pathway is part of the Adventure Bay expansion.
Adventure Bay is being added to Walt Disney Studios Park, to the side of the existing park area. Surrounding the bay will be multiple expansions to the park, including both the upcoming World of Frozen and the confirmed Lion King land. Guests will access Adventure Bay and its surrounding areas via Adventure Way, a new street that will also have an attraction and a garden space.

As shared by DLP Works on Instagram, the photos show the new lighting against a dusk sky. It includes some streetlamps along the guest walkway, which have larger bulbs facing downward and additional lights along the top swirl of metal. However, it appears the lights nearby were also being tested, as shown by the trees also lit up with small bulbs.
Along Adventure Way there are also newly planted trees. After a permit was approved on July 23, the site for the new Up attraction has been cleared. Additionally, along Adventure Way is the Gazebo Garden, which recently received character statues.

Toward the rear of Adventure Way, the village of Arendelle seems almost complete with facades, roofs, stone paving, lampposts, benches, and more. There are also specific plants and trees for each area, like pines by World of Frozen, yellow acacias near the future Lion King Pride Lands area, and tall trees by the pre-existing Cars Race Rally.
The new land will open in Spring 2026 and be home to two castles: The Arendelle Palace, inspired by traditional Scandinavian architecture, will be home to a Queen Elsa and Queen Anna. The second, Elsa’s Ice Palace, is built into a snowy landscape along the North Mountain.

Lighting was also turned on in the Toy Story Playland area. The string lights along the path leading to the expansion are similar to those already present in Worlds of Pixar.
Disney Adventure World

When World of Frozen and the surrounding area opens in 2026, the park will be renamed Disney Adventure World. The expansion and renaming are part of a major reimagining of Walt Disney Studios Park. The “fun map” above shows a simplified version of its new layout, with Adventure Bay in the center.

Disney later released images of a scale model for the park, complete with both the Lion King and World of Frozen expansions.
Adventure Bay will host a new nighttime spectacular. An opening timeframe has not been announced for the Lion King area. The park’s update also included a reimagining of the entrance space, now dubbed World Premiere.
