Marvel Animation’s Marvel Zombies miniseries is coming to Disney+ this month.
Marvel Zombies Trailer and Release Date
Disney released a trailer and poster for Marvel Zombies, alongside images from the series, which will be rated TV-MA — as is the trailer below, so viewer discretion is advised.
Marvel Zombies is a four-episode miniseries based on the What If… Zombies?! episode from the first season of What If…? and the Marvel Zombies comic book series. The first episode debuts on Disney+ on September 24.
The series follows a group of survivors, including familiar characters from the MCU, who try to survive after the Avengers have all become zombies.
Cast members reprising their live-action roles include Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang / Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Xu Shang-Chi, Awkwafina as Katy, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, Wyatt Russell as John Walker / U.S. Agent, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. Todd Williams will also star as Eric Brooks / Blade Knight, a variant of Blade who has also adopted the Moon Knight mantle. Hudson Thames reprises his voice role as Peter Parker / Spider-Man.
Other characters confirmed to appear, although without confirmed voice actors, include T’Challa / Black Panther, Xu Wenwu, Death Dealer, and zombie versions of Clint Barton / Hawkeye, Steve Rogers / Captain America, Emil Blonsky / Abomination, Ava Starr / Ghost, Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Ikaris, Okoye, and Namor.
Marvel Zombies was created by What If… Zombies?! director Bryan Andrews and Marvel Comics writer Zeb Wells. It is executive produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Andrews, and Wells, and is produced by Danielle Costa and Carrie Wassenaar.
