The 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. is coming up, and new games are coming to celebrate the milestone.
New Games
New Super Mario Bros. games will be released next year:
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder coming to Switch 2 next spring with new content – Meetup in Bellabel Park and more
- Mario Tennis Fever coming to Switch 2 on February 12, 2026
- Yoshi and the Mysterious Book coming to Switch 2 next spring
Additionally, Nintendo remastered Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 from the original Wii. These will be released on October 2.

Super Galaxy Movie
Super Mario Galaxy is one of the core announcements for the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, which centers around Mario going on an out-of-this-world mission to rescue Princess Peach and save the universe from Bowser.
Today, The Super Mario Galaxy movie was officially announced along with a teaser trailer.
