The Shrek’s Swamp splash pad in DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida has been completely torn up and removed for unknown reasons.
Shrek’s Swamp Splash Pad Missing

Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres is an area within DreamWorks Land at Universal Studios Florida. It includes a more standard playground and a splash pad. We noticed the splash pad was still blocked by construction walls, which have been standing since earlier this summer.

Shrek’s Swamp debuted with DreamWorks Land in June 2024. Shrek’s Swamp first closed for refurbishment last October. This year, we saw construction walls return around the splash pad again in late July. However, the original walls from July did not cover the whole splash pad, only about half. Now, the walls have expanded to block the whole space.

From the upper level, we could see that the entire splash pad has been ripped up, leaving a genuinely swampy-looking area on the ground. The oversized reeds for the splash pad were also removed from the space.

Some pipes and concrete supports are still remaining in the ground, but that seems to be all that remains of the original structure. Sections of the dirt hole have filled with water, making the whole area very muddy.
The water guns on the upper level that could be used to spray the guests on the splash pad have also been deactivated. We don’t know why the splash pad was demolished, and Universal has made no official announcements. Below are images of what the area used to look like:

The splash pad was originally a brown and green zone in the middle of the concrete, where there is now just a hole. There were several tall reeds sticking out from the ground.
