Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique is where you’ll find some of the world’s finest wands, designed by esteemed artisan and wandmaker, Cosme Acajor, and packaged in unique threesided boxes. The combination of Acajor’s unique approach to wandlore, couture influence, and utilization of distinct wand cores results in an outcome that is not a wand, but a work of art.
Location

Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique is located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, near Bar Moonshine and across from Le Cirque Arcanus.
Merchandise

There are ten wands exclusively available at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique. These are all first generation interactive wands, so they cannot be linked with the Universal Orlando App like the new second-generation interactive wands.
An additional first generation wand and a second-generation interactive wand inspired by the land’s Phoenix Arch were released for the park’s grand opening.

Each of the wands comes with a map of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic and a wand description written by Cosme Acajor herself. The wands are sold inside of a triangular box with unique wand logo on the end, as opposed to the more traditional rectangular boxes found in the other Wizarding World locations. Cosme Acajor is written in script on the front of each box.

Exterior

The exterior of Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique is painted with rich shades of blue and purple, with gold writing and accents. There are two entrances. One is located on the corner, and one is found down the right side of the storefront. Several arched windows line each side of the building. Tile work in front of this entrance spells out “Cosme Acajor” in purple and gold.
Interior
Entrance

Upon entering the store through the side entrance, guests are greeted with large wooden cases filled with wands and topped with glass cases displaying some of the wand options. However, the large chandelier hanging from the ceiling is what catches the eye.

Crafted with over eight hundred crystal “wands” and adorned with brass Cornish Pixies, the chandelier is a wonder to behold, and a well-suited complement to the remarkable wand designs in the shop.
Wand Displays

Each of the ten wands exclusively available at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique are displayed atop wooden shelving units throughout the store.

The first wand on display is the Ivy Wand. To describe this ornate wand, Acajor explains, “If a wand could inspire confidence by its mere presence, it would be my ivy baguette magique. Its dazzling, pearlescent handle – in shades of sapphire rarely seen outside the Côte d’ Azur – brings to mind the whimsical Billywig. And this wand will elevate its owner’s magic just as the Billywig’s playful sting giddily levitates those in the magical creature’s path. Is it a coïncidence that such a wand is a parfait for those who easily rise above the fray and consistently overcome obstacles? I think not.”
Each display highlights the design using props related to their inspiration. Billywigs are flying creatures known for having a vivid blue color and iridescent wings, an example of which are displayed near the wand.

Per Acajor, “This stunningly-crafted Willow Wand boasts a golden and pearlescent accented handle featuring a single sirène against a sea of green. My fellow artists know that time spent near the water restores the soul and encourages inner reflection. The owner of this beautiful œuvre d’art understands that no matter how long the road ahead may seem, one must embrace challenges with a healthy balance of humility and gratitude for a life of continuous learning.”
This display matches the water themes of the description with a piece of driftwood and a green frond similar to coral.

The Oak Wand is described as follows: “One word encapsulates the look and feel of this polished black oak wand with a resplendent golden handle: élégance. And true élégance cannot be projected without courage and strength – both of which the owner of this exceptionally loyal baguette magique possesses in abundance. Oui, the witch or wizard who wields this wand knows what they want – and has not only the powerful intuition to go after it, but the ability to obtain it as well.”
This display has the oak wand sitting in a pile of seashells on top of a bed of golden sand.

Acajor’s description of the Fir Wand states, “The intricate accents on this wand’s sleek handle bring to mind the copper cauldrons in which I first honed my extraordinary potion-making skills. However, the blue wood of this fir wand evokes the fiercest memories, as it mirrors the winter shadows on the Pyrenees mountains – where I often lost myself while collecting wood for my premiers designs as a young witch. Oui, this baguette magique is perfect for the strong minded, resilient, sometimes intimidating witch or wizard who knows what they want (perhaps for a lifetime) and possesses an exceptional strength of purpose.”
Keeping with the mountain theme in this wand’s description, the display has a solid piece of rock in shades of black and shiny gold.

Acajor adds about the Dogwood Wand, “This chic, warm brown wand with a chartreuse accented handle is inspired by sunlight saturating the linden trees in a Parisian park on a spring afternoon – the perfect location for a little mischief and magique. And this dogwood wand is adept at both. Qu’est-ce que la-vie (what is life) – without a little whimsy? A dreadful test of endurance, certainly. The owner of this baguette magique knows this all too well, and certainement has a passion for play equal to their aptitude for magic.”
The stand for this wand display is made of several twisted branches and vines, some of which have white flowers blooming near the bottom.

Acajor’s decryption of the Holly Wand states, “The stylish, swirled handle atop my lacquered holly wand reflects the delicate balance the wielder of such a baguette magique must strike with their spell-casting. Some say the serene elegance of this handle helps centre those on a dangerous, perhaps spiritual, quest. (When said to me, I simply smile and nod; a true artiste touches hearts hearts and minds in ways she never realized.) One thing not open to interpretation, however, is that this rare and protective baguette magique is a perfect match for the impulsive witch or wizard, as it will happily temper such tendencies.”
This display of bent metal and golden leaves is reminiscent of a real holly plant.

Acajor adds, “This Acacia Wand design embodies the effortless combination of baroque élégance with the modern tailored look of Arts Décoratifs. The handsome yet unpretentious silhouette is perfect for the loyal acacia wand, which is best suited to those wielding beautifully understated, yet potent, magic. I always say that magique – it is an accident of birth – and that a happy accident! Recognizing their good fortune, the gifted owner of this wand will wield it with subtlety and grace.”
This display has more of a traditional Parisian Art Deco style, with a solid silver base decorated with ornate swirls.

Acajor’s description of the Reed Wand reads, “Legendary, creative artists like me, are often inspired by each other’s works. Alors (so), it is no surprise that the green patina-coloured handle of this striking reed wand brings to mind immediatement the handsomely aged bronze statue in Sacré-Cœur. This connection to genius is no coincidence. A baguette magique of reed is frequently drawn to an owner both eloquent and bold in spirit – traits common among deep thinkers like us.”
This display has one of the simpler decorations, with a bronze-colored hand evoking the statue in the wand’s description.

Butterflies make a reference in Acajor’s description of the Rosewood Wand, “The golden butterfly adorning the pastel blue handle of this baguette magique is capable of breathtakingly transformative spell-casting, particularly spells d’amour and spells that heal (in my experience, often one and the same.) Alors, the rosewood wand will pair only with a witch or wizard who is pure of heart – and who appreciates the thrill of witnessing the healing metamorphosis that only love can bring.”
As one would expect from the description, this wand display is full of yellow butterflies mid-flight.

Acajor explains of the Vine Wand, “The graceful, almost whimsical sweep of this swirled vine baguette magique contrasts beautifully with its geometrically embellished, brass-coloured handle. What may seem to the untrained eye to be a paradox of design is, in fact, a brilliant nod to the remarkable vision beyond the ordinary with which such a wand’s owner is most certainly blessed. The master of a vine wand possesses hidden depths perhaps only truly understood by those of us with similar profundity.”
This final display evokes the twisted vines of the wand’s namesake in deep green and brown tones.
Wall Displays/Upstairs

The walls along the left and right sides of the store are lined with Cosme Acajor-exclusive wands, alongside several wands that are available at other Universal Orlando locations. Boxes that contain Cosme Acajor wands are triangular, while others are rectangular.
More colorful wand boxes are housed throughout the many display cases in the store, allowing for an ample selection for witches and wizards searching for the perfect baguette magique. Displays with several of the character replica wands, which are usually available at the other Wizarding World locations, line the upper sections of the walls.

There is a set of stairs leading up to a balcony inside the store as well. While the balcony is closed to guests, there are many displays and wand-inspired art that can be seen from below.

Along the wall leading up the stairs, are several displays detailing wands and wand creation, such as the type of wood used for wands.

The first framed display shows off replicas of several wands from famous witches and wizards.

Above that is another wand display, along with a frame containing many wand components like feathers, wood, and some magical substances. Next to the wands and components are graphics of Noisetier (hazel) and Sapin (fir tree), two components of Cosme Acajor’s wands.

One of Acajor’s wands has a Sapin (fir) and feather core, so this art focuses on the components that make up that particular baguette magique. This one is perfect for the strong minded, resilient, sometimes intimidating witch or wizard.

Turning the corner to the next level of stairs, more wand and feather cores are displayed. Sconces light up the area near each frame.

Circled by intricate golden pieces, three wands make up an “A” for Acajor. Each wand looks to be spouting magic with dark red swirlsacross the frame.

Located upstairs and atop the displays behind the registers, many different baguettes magiques are stacked and organized in unique piles.

A mix of character replica, Olivanders’, and Cosme Acajor wands are among those displayed.

The shelves lining the majority of the upstairs area are lined with multicolored boxes of various sizes and shapes.

There are also several work desks standing along the left-hand side of the balcony. Each is topped with trinkets, books, and scrolls.

It also appears that some sample baguette magiques, potions, and ingredients are sitting upon other desks.

Near the register area, another wooden frame houses a few more wands, other wand cores, and feathers.
Check Out Area

Behind the register counter, display shelves showcase some additional merchandise that can be found in the store. Team Members wear dark pants, white shirts, and silky blue vests.

The registers fit the land’s time period of 1920s Paris. The “caisse” is golden with an art deco design. Although the registers are vintage in style, they also feature a modern screen to show pricing.
