All five Indiana Jones movies will be available to stream on Disney+ next year ahead of the opening of a new Indiana Jones ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Because the first four films were distributed by Paramount, not Disney, licensing agreements required they rotate availability on Disney+ and Paramount+. The fifth film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, was released after Disney acquired Lucasfilm, so has always been available on Disney+.

With the licensing agreements expiring, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, Last Crusade, and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be back on Disney+ on January 1, 2026.

New Indiana Jones Ride

A person with a torch approaches an ancient, glowing artifact inside a cave. Nearby, people in a vehicle point flashlights towards the artifact. The scene is filled with mystery and ancient symbols, reminiscent of an Indiana Jones adventure through the hidden wonders of the animal kingdom.

In February 2026, DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close to be reimagined into an Indiana Jones attraction, set to open in 2027. DINOSAUR and pre-existing Indiana Jones Adventure rides at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea have nearly identical ride layouts but the Animal Kingdom version will have a new story set in a Mayan temple so it fits within the Tropical Americas land.
