“Steve Rogers will return,” states the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel also released a poster for the film.

Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers, with the new teaser showing him coming home on a retro Triumph motorcycle, packing up his Captain America uniform, and holding a baby in his arms.

We already knew Chris Evans was returning to the MCU but it had not been confirmed that he would play Steve. Given the franchise’s dip into alternate universes — and that Robert Downey, Jr. is returning to play Doctor Doom, not Tony Stark — it was possible Evans would play a different character.

It’s still possible he’s an alternate version of Steve Rogers than the one we know and love.
