On Friday morning, we saw a pair of crew members in a lift working at the edge of the roof next to the clock tower. They were removing the decorative brick cornices from below the roof. In the photo above, you can see three of the elements missing.

The crew members removed a fourth while we were watching.

Crews have also been repairing other areas of the brick façade where they removed windows. According to concept art (below) the brick façade will remain but with new monstrous elements. It looks like the crown cornices will be replaced with scale or teeth-like elements.

The theater will also get a new marquee and clocktower wrap. It will be renamed “The Glob,” a play on The Globe, but Disney has not announced what will be inside.

The E-ticket attraction of the Monsters, Inc. land will be the new door roller-coaster, which is under construction in a former parking lot behind Muppets Courtyard.
