A new drink marrying two Disney favorites — churros and margaritas — has arrived in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion. Is it worth a stop at La Cantina while drinking around the world? We think so! It is boozy smoky perfection.
Churro Margarita – $18

While there’s no description of the margarita’s components on the menu, a Cast Member informed us it contains bourbon, mezcal, ice cream, and chocolate topped with the churro.
The bourbon definitely comes through the drink, and all the mezcal was at the bottom of our drink, so definitely stir it in! Once it’s all together, it’s boozy, smoky perfection: you can taste the alcohol, although it mixes really nicely with the ice cream. It reminds us of a boozy horchata more so than a margarita, but only because there’s not actually any tequila in it.
The churros on top are super fresh, well fried with a nice consistency, and taste delicious when dipped into the drink. It reminded us of a Disneyland churro, and that’s a big compliment.
Overall, this is a good deal for an Epcot drink. It’s priced similarly to most, is the same size, has a good alcohol kick, and you get ice cream and a churro!
