The Walt Disney Company announced today that Disney+ is now available through Meta Quest virtual reality headsets in the United States, enabling Disney+ subscribers to stream content directly through their VR headsets.
Meta Quest VR Users Can Stream Disney+ as of December 15, 2025
In a news post shared directly via disneyplus.com, Disney announced the release of their streaming service through Meta’s VR app store, known as the Horizon Store.
The Disney+ app is available for download on Meta’s Horizon store as of December 15, 2025. The announcement clarifies that the app is only available in the U.S. at launch, with an international release planned for “early 2026”.
Disney+ is supported on the recent series of Quest devices, specifically the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest 3S headset models. It is unclear if older Meta or Oculus VR headsets are compatible with the streaming app.
For the newer, compatible devices, the Disney+ app supports Dolby Vision 4K HDR video streaming. Dolby Atmos audio is also available for users with a premium Disney+ subscription.
Disney in Virtual Reality

Disney has previously released a number of VR experiences also available on Meta Quest and other VR devices, including Myth: A Frozen Tale and the Vader Immortal series.
This summer, The Jim Henson Company said it is considering bringing MuppetVision 3D to the world of virtual reality. Finally, the November 2025 episode of We Call It Imagineering mentioned that Disney is leveraging its partnership with Meta to use smart glasses for both guest-facing and behind-the scenes applications in their theme parks.
