Cummings said on Instagram, “Disney is developing a new Winnie the Pooh movie, diving deeper into the Hundred Acre Wood legacy. Fans can expect classic charm and fresh storytelling as the beloved bear returns to screens in a full-length feature.”

The last full-length animated Winnie the Pooh film was released in 2011. The live-action film Christopher Robin was released in 2018. Playdate with Winnie the Pooh and Me & Winnie the Pooh have been airing on Disney Jr. since 2023 and feature Leon Chen as the voice of Pooh Bear.

Though the image shared by Cummings is of “live-action” Pooh Bear, he did not state it would be a live-action film. Disney has not made an official announcement yet.

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh franchise began in 1977 with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Since then, there have been dozens of feature-length films, shorts, TV shows, and more.
