In conjunction with the 20th anniversary of Duffy and Friends’ arrival at Tokyo Disney Resort, another new celebration is coming to close out the big anniversary: Duffy and Friends Heartfelt Letters of Friendship. With specialty merchandise, food, and photo opportunities, Heartfelt Letters of Friendship will be available from January 8 to March 19, 2026.

Story

The story given by Tokyo Disney Resort for the celebration is Duffy and his friends coming together with stories to share with their pal Mickey Mouse. Mickey had been away for a long time, so each friend came up with a gift to give to him that represented the stories they had to share. For instance, Duffy wrote a letter and placed it in a bottle.

Decor

The resort will have special decor for the celebration, likely showing Duffy and friends with their gifts for Mickey, as shown in the examples above, shared by Tokyo Disney Resort.

Merchandise

As part of the celebration, Tokyo Disney Resort is releasing a whole line of specialty merchandise for the occasion. This includes a line of plush keychains depicting Duffy and each of his friends in unique, colorful Heartfelt Letters of Friendship outfits.

There will also be a line of accessories, like a Duffy shoulder plush holding a letter and a purse shaped like an envelope with a plush Duffy peaking out over the top of it.

The resort will also release a series of caribeners, each one in the shape of a different character with a charm of each character and their name as a wax seal.

Fittingly, the merchandise includes a line of stationery and letter accessories. The envelopes, paper, and letter seals all depict Duffy and his friends.

A line of trinket drawstring bags and postcards will also be released, along with other items such as mini towels, pouches, candies, and snacks.

Food

A few locations around Tokyo Disney Resort will also have special treats or food options. The Duffy’s Special Set, for example, comes with a themed placemat, coaster, and butter rice in the shape of Duffy’s face.

Celebratory dining souvenirs will also be available during the event. These souvenirs include a water bottle, a plate, a lunch bag, and a mug.

Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta will also be part of the celebration. Three restaurants at the hotel will have specialty items on the menu in honor of Heartfelt Letters of Friendship: Oceano, Silk Road Garden, and Bella Vista Lounge.

Resort Line Tickets

During the two-month event, Disney Resort Line tickets will also be available with Duffy and his pals on them in their special event outfits. Besides the souvenir tickets, the Duffy & Friends Colorful Happiness Liner will also have a partial interior refurbishment.
