A refurbishment on the entrance to Toy Story Mania! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is halfway complete. The ride and entrance remain open.
Toy Story Mania Refurbishment
Pictured above is what the entrance looked like when the refurbishment first began late last week. Rolling planters covered the front of the entryway’s columns. The pieces being refurbished are the flat cardboard cut-outs featuring Jessie and Rex.
When we checked on the progress today, December 23, the Rex decal is still gone from the right column, leaving it a blank beige cutout. However, Jessie has been refurbished. It was previously covered with a mesh fabric, giving it a muted look.

Now, the fabric is gone, revealing a fresh look.

The rolling planter is still placed in front of Jessie.
For reference, above is what the entrance usually looks like.
Toy Story Mania! is a 4D shooting attraction themed to a playset Andy has set up in his backyard and bedroom. It opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the original 2008 entrance was in what is now Pixar Plaza.
The entrance moved with the opening of Toy Story Land in 2018. It originally had two tracks but a third track opened in 2016, allowing for a higher ride capacity. Check out our ride POV of the third track below.
On the other side of Toy Story Land, a new snack kiosk is under construction.
