The walkway leading from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been under construction for months. Now, some of the walls have been replaced with rolling planters, and we have a little more insight as to what the construction entails.
Hollywood Studios Walkway Construction

We first reported on this area in July when the construction walls went up, and then earlier in December aerial images showed new bench seating.
Before the start of work in this area, it was a walkway that became temporary seating for Woody’s Lunch Box during the expansion of the covered seating for the eatery. The seating was removed in February 2025.

Many of the construction walls facing towards Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge have been replaced with rolling planters.

The Toy Story Land forward-facing walls, however, are still in place.

Just a few weeks ago, when we saw aerial images, these walls were surrounded by equipment on the back side.

It appears that some speakers have been freshly mounted in the area.

Over the hedges, we can see the wall seating still being installed along the pathway. There is also a large tree being supported by wires. It appears they are working on another section of seating, which is currently covered by a plastic tarp.

More wall seating and new pavement continue down the pathway. We can also see that where the foliage has been cut away and the dirt removed to expand the walkway to make room for these wall seats.

At least two of the walkway lights that were there before construction remain in their original spots. Previously, the foliage began where the light poles are and has been cut back several feet.
