Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, a mobile collectible RPG game developed by Electronic Arts, is set to receive an update adding Andor content.

In an exclusive with Variety, EA’s Capital Games and Lucasfilm team members shared details about the upcoming Andor expansion, which will add new versions of Cassian Andor (who is already available in-game), the villains Major Partagaz and Dedra Meero, and more from the critically-acclaimed Disney+ series.

Lucasfilm Games executive producer Orion Kellogg also revealed that Capital Games has early access to Lucasfilm content and strategy, as the company considers the game to be important to Lucasfilm’s overall strategy:

“We understand that we have this connection to these millions of players, and we’re super excited to be able to deliver this opportunity to those players. So Capital Games is getting read-ins to new content. They’re behind the curtains with us planning how they can bring these characters to life. They’re getting visual reference and all of that stuff so that we can just continue to tell the stories.”

That intimate access allows the game’s developers to stay true to the characters’ natures, which translates to how they’ll behave when deployed on the holographic battlefield. Kellogg focused specifically on Dedra Meero, who is known for her cunning tactics:

“You’re not going to see Dedra Meero pull out a rocket launcher, because that would be fun for a video game. You are going to see Dedra Meero be the coldest, most ruthless manipulator of the battlefield. … The way they’ve designed those abilities and the synergies, the way that she stands and strikes, same with all the Andor characters — it’s really starting from making sure the ingredients are right, and then when you put them all together in all these different ways, you’re going to get a lot of different fun and authentic results.

‘Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes’ Mobile Game

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is a mobile collectible RPG in which players enact holographic battles on the in-universe hologame table using custom troops that include legendary Star Wars figures. Since its 2015 launch, the game has had over 150 million players, largely due to regular expansions that add new content, including from The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and Ahsoka.

In total, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes has over 300 characters and ships from which you can assemble your galactic force. While its scale may seem intimidating, it’s actually designed to act as a gateway into the broader Star Wars universe, according to Capital Games’ studio manager Erik Larsen:

…You can go and explore and be exposed to characters from comic books and from novels and from streaming content that maybe you didn’t grow up with or that wasn’t your entry point, but there’s so much richness to discover.

The game celebrated its 10th anniversary in fall 2025.
