Following the permanent closure of MuppetVision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on June 7, 2025, Disney will be transforming the theater into a new Monsters, Inc. attraction.
MuppetVision Theater Transformation

According to Central Florida Tourism Oversight District records obtained by Orlando Business Journal, Disney is investing $22.4 million in the transformation. Work includes interior demolition and the installation of structural and architectural elements. Crews have already removed most thematic elements from the façade.

Disney hasn’t announced any details of the new attraction, but it will still be a theater show. Concept art indicates the theater will be named “The Glob,” a play on Shakespeare’s Globe, and will get a new marquee.
Muppets Relocated to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

As the Muppets Courtyard is transformed into a Monsters, Inc. Land, several Muppets-themed spots were closed, including PizzeRizzo and MuppetVision 3D. However, guests can still experience The Muppets at Hollywood Studios starting this summer when they officially take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
Rather than Aerosmith, guests will now be taking a ride with Electric Mayhem, the Muppets band. It will feature Scooter with his penguin audio engineers trying to get the band to get moving so they aren’t late for their concert.
