The Disneyland dark ride has reopened in its regular state after a brief closure to remove its holiday retheme.

Original Haunted Mansion Reopens for Disneyland Guests

As we reported back in December, the Disneyland Resort webpage calendar for the Haunted Mansion seemed to indicate that the fan-favorite Nightmare Before Christmas overlay – Haunted Mansion Holiday – would be fully removed and the ride restored to its classic condition as of January 23.

We can confirm from a recent visit to Disneyland that the ride has reopened in its regular form.

There does not appear to have been any substantive changes during the recent closure period. At this time last year, Disney had reopened the ride following extensive refurbishment work, introducing a variety of updated effects and ride changes, including the new bride character replacing Constance Hatchaway.
