Miley Cyrus returned to her Hannah Montana roots at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards on January 3, teasing something forthcoming for the show’s 20th anniversary.
Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary
Miley Cyrus starred as Miley Stewart a.k.a. Hannah Montana in the Disney Channel series that premiered on March 24, 2006. It ran for four seasons plus a movie until January 16, 2011.
Cyrus arrived at the festival with the familiar beachy blonde hair and bangs of Hannah Montana. In a TikTok, Variety asked her about Hannah Montana 20th anniversary plans, to which she responded, “We’re working hard on them.”
When asked for a teaser, she said, “I can’t tell you! You see the bangs.”
In a December Billboard interview, Miley said regarding the possibility of Hannah being recast for a reboot, “I don’t know if there is a new Hannah. This is the only Hannah.”
