Disney’s Animal Kingdom cast members stationed at the Affection Section petting zoo space have reportedly told guests the area will soon close. Though unconfirmed, this could be due to the Bluey experience coming soon.
Rumored Affection Section Closure

Affection Section is located at Rafiki’s Planet Watch with Conservation Station. Disney announced last year, “Beginning in Summer 2026 at Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll be able to take a fun excursion to Conservation Station in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where you can play and dance with Bluey and Bingo!” There will also be a Bluey and Bingo meet and greet and the opportunity to see animals from Bluey’s home country, Australia.
Though Affection Section is technically a separate experience from Conservation Station, it could still potentially close to make space. According to a casting call, the Australian animals will be outside.
We previously theorized Bluey would take over the current Animation Experience space. Disney has implied a version of the Animation Experience will be available at the new Magic of Disney Animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is also opening this summer.
Affection Section has posted hours through March 14, the furthest date currently available on the Walt Disney World calendar. Hours are always subject to change, however.
