Fast & Furious Coaster to Potentially Replace Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Coaster

Universal Studios Florida wasted no time in tearing down Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit when it closed in August 2025, quickly demolishing the tracks and stations and installing new concrete footers. Rumors have swirled about a potential replacement based on the “bills” posted on the construction walls, including Fast & Furious references, and this seems to be the clearest sign yet that that’s what’s happening.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift

On the West Coast, Universal has been building Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift at Universal Studios Hollywood, which will open later this year. We spotted test dummies on the coaster back in October 2025, which is also when the coaster was first seen testing. The coaster has 4,100 feet of track, sound reduction technology, and 360-degree rotation to create the sensation of drifting.
