The EPCOT Monorail was stalled for over an hour near Disney’s Contemporary Resort on Tuesday evening, January 20.

EPCOT Monorail Stuck

Instagram user @jenna_doesdisney shared a video of the stopped Monorail, which travels between EPCOT and the Transportation and Ticket Center. Jenna wrote that the train was “stalled out for over an hour just past the Contemporary, causing major disruptions”.

User @jd.unofficial commented, “I was on the monorail at [Magic Kingdom] station behind it and we were sitting there for 45 and then told to get off and given buses”.

Professional wrestler Joey Janela was among the guests stuck. He posted on X at 10:23 p.m., “We were stuck on the Monorail for an hour tonight at Disney, luckily they hooked us up with $50 giftcards, mine was quickly spent at Epcot on Softshell crab sliders, chili poblano tacos and sushi doughnut in record time. Well worth it 🤣🤣🤣”.

We don’t know the reason for the Monorail’s halt. It was operating on Wednesday morning, January 21.
