It appears production has officially begun on Frozen 3. Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf, posted a photo with the film’s creative team on Instagram, indicating he’s back in the recording booth.

“3rd time is always the charm ☃️ Time to build another snowman,” Gad wrote in his caption. He posed alongside co-directors Jennifer Lee and Trent Correy, and producer Christina Chen, all holding up the number three.
It was previously confirmed Gad would return, along with the voices of Anna and Elsa, Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel. Gad said last fall that recording had not begun.
A fourth film is also in the works, which is to be produced simultaneously. Songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are returning for both sequels.
Originally set for release this year, Frozen 3 will now hit theaters on November 24, 2027. A release date for Frozen 4 hasn’t been announced.
