Katee Sackhoff, who has portrayed Star Wars character Bo-Katan Kryze since 2008, says the character “ain’t going anywhere.”

Though a return of Bo-Katan hasn’t been officially confirmed, Sackhoff reasons that, because the character isn’t dead and is based on Dave Filoni’s wife, she’ll likely come back.
“Always! She’s not dead. She ain’t going anywhere,” Sackhoff said during a panel at Fan Expo Vancouver. “She can’t, because she’s based on Dave Filoni’s wife. So I have job security forever. Anne [Convery] would be so pissed.” (via The Direct)
Bo-Katan’s look was modeled after Convery. The character’s name is a combination of Convery’s and that of her cat, Boogie.
Filoni is Lucasfilm’s chief creative officer and took over as co-president of Lucasfilm alongside general manager Lynwen Brennan when Kathleen Kennedy stepped down.

Sackhoff first voiced Bo-Katan in the animated series The Clone Wars and then in Star Wars: Rebels. She reprised the role in live-action in The Mandalorian series. She was a recurring character in season two and a main character in season three. She has not been announced to appear in the movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, which will be released on May 22, 2026.
