Crews Paint Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Exterior During Extended Refurbishment

The exterior refurbishment of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge continues with painting and electrical work. This construction has been underway for several months. Originally announced as a refurbishment of the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins set to wrap up in September 2025, the project now includes the entire resort and is scheduled through late 2026, according to the Walt Disney World website.

Crews are currently focused on this area t the back corner of the lobby. Barriers block some of the nearby walkways.

There appeared to be electrical and painting crews on site during our Wednesday trip. Two crew members were on top of the roof working on wiring.

Below, a crew member was repainting one of the wood-style columns.

More barriers circle this patio and part of the seating area is closed. An A-frame sign lets guests know the seating is unavailable.

Scaffolding covers this wall of the resort for more paint work. No guests are currently staying in the affected rooms.

We saw several crew members on the scaffolding touching up the paint of columns.
