Frank’s Bench has returned to Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland with a new plaque. Frank, a beloved Disneyland guest nicknamed “Porch Potato,” passed away in August 2025.
Frank’s Bench

Frank was dubbed “Porch Potato” because of how much time he spent sitting on the Palm Parlor porch on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland. He was also called the “Mayor of Main Street.”

The bench was temporarily removed from the porch but returned in late January.

It has a new plaque that reads: “New Century Historical Society ‘Every day is my best day.'” This was reportedly one of his favorite quotes.
Both CEO Bob Iger and CEO-hopeful Josh D’Amaro shared tributes after Frank’s passing last August.
Belated condolences on the passing of our beloved Frank, aka “The Porch Potato,” & “the Mayor of Main St.” Frank graced our presence daily, greeting people at @disneyland with so much warmth & charm. He is already missed!
