How to Avoid Overpaying for Disney Parks Tickets in 2026

A visit to the Happiest or Most Magical Places on Earth can cost a pretty (albeit retired) penny. Still, there are always ways to save money, even on tickets! This guide will walk you through how to save the most on your visits to the Disney parks this year.

Theme Park Tickets

In planning any big theme park trip, one of the largest expenses is often the tickets. While Disney does, on occasion, offer promotions or other ticket discounts, they aren’t always available. However, guests can always save up to 10% on gate-priced tickets (and even promotion prices, sometimes) at Unlocked Magic.

Powered by DVC Rental Store and DVC Resale Market, Unlocked Magic can offer guests discounted, authentic tickets that are simple to connect to your My Disney Experience App, just as you would when buying them directly. The biggest difference is that the discounts are always available, regardless of any available discounts at Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resorts.

The Unlocked Magic website is simple to use and honest. When you plug in the dates, number of guests, and park days, it will tell you if a deal is available. If you can’t save any money off the gate price, the site will note that you will save $0.

Here is an example of the cost for 4-day passes (before tax) for two adults and two children at Disney World during peak Spring Break time in March 2026 from Unlocked Magic:

Here are those same tickets direct from Disney World (before tax):

Right now, between the two prices we tried, the savings are equal to around 7% for all three ticketing options. That’s a savings of hundreds of dollars per ticket when booking through Unlocked Magic, even during one of the busiest seasons of the year when Disney promos are historically more scarce.

The process of purchasing tickets from Unlocked Magic is no different than buying from Disney. They work the same way and integrate with technology seamlessly; the biggest difference is that they are less expensive.

After you buy your tickets, be sure to check out this handy how-to video from Unlocked Magic to get them added to your MDE app:

Park Event Tickets

In addition to daytime park entry savings, Unlocked Magic also offers 10% discounts on park event tickets. That includes celebrations such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. That’s a higher savings than even the Annual Passholders, who received a $10 discount in 2025.

Please note that event or party tickets do not include daytime admission. If you wish to visit the park before the allotted time, you will need to buy tickets separately.

VIP Tours

Guests looking for a VIP Tour experience at either Walt Disney World or Disneyland can also obtain a discount for these services as well. Unlocked Magic offers 10% off these premium tours at both resorts. Often, discounts on VIP tours are only periodically offered directly by Disney for Disney Vacation Club owners.

Keep in mind when planning your trip that daytime park entry tickets are still required, even if attending with a VIP tour.

Making the Most Of Ticket Savings

The best way to save the most money on tickets at the parks is to go during the least crowded periods. For Disney World, the best time to go is mid-January to February, August through early September, and early to mid-November, historically.

Whereas Disneyland is often less crowded in early January to mid-February, mid-April through late May, September through early October, and mid-November before Thanksgiving.

These less crowded times of year tend to have cheaper ticket prices. Tickets are also cheaper if you buy them in higher quantities for more park days rather than day to day. The longer the trip, the smaller the ticket cost per day.
