Earlier this year, Disney+ announced that it would be adding mobile-focused vertical content later in 2026. As reported by Deadline, some of the planned short-form content is now available online in the form of a new series called Locker Diaries.

The series will feature characters from popular TV shows and films, such as those from Zombies, Descendants, and Phineas & Ferb. The “bite-size adventures that blend comedy, drama, and thrills, all unfolding in school hallways and told through open locker doors.”

The first two episodes of the 11-part series are available now and are Zombies-themed. The shorts are available on Disney+ and the Disney Channel YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Watch one of the shorts below:
Malachi Barton, Freya Skye, Swayam Bhatia, Julian Lerner, and Mekonnen Knife reprise their roles from Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires in the short-form films.
New episodes will drop every Saturday from now until mid-April and will highlight fun moments from Disney favorites through the doors of a locker.

When the project was announced, Disney+ shared that it hoped to boost daily engagement among users. The company is positioning this feature much like social media-style short-form video feeds, acknowledging that audiences increasingly consume content in mobile-friendly, vertical formats.
The rollout of vertical videos reflects a strategic shift for Disney+ as it competes with other platforms for user attention and advertising dollars.
