The third film in Universal’s popular Minions franchise, Minions & Monsters, dropped its first trailer during Super Bowl LX.

Minions & Monsters is the third film in the Minions series and the seventh overall in the Despicable Me franchise. The sequel is also simultaneously a prequel: the trailer reveals it is set in the 1920s and follows a trio of Minions who travel to Hollywood to become filmmakers.

Minions & Monsters comes out in theaters on July 1, 2026. We expect there will be promotional events and merchandise coming to the Minions areas of the international Universal Parks as we get closer to the summertime release date.
