A Muppet Labs sign from MuppetVision 3D was recycled for use in The Muppet Show revival special that aired on ABC and Disney+ this week.

In the Muppet Labs skit of The Muppet Show, a “Muppet Lab Techs Only” sign is visible on the wall. This prop once hung outside the MuppetVision 3D theater on a staircase unavailable to guests.

MuppetVision 3D and the rest of the former Muppets Courtyard closed permanently last summer. The area is being turned into a new Monsters, Inc. -themed land including a door roller-coaster.

The Muppet Show special celebrates the 50th anniversary of the original show. Depending on how the special is received, it could launch a complete revival of The Muppet Show. The special, which starred Sabrina Carpenter, was released to a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It remains high with a 97% score.
