Chief Flight Attendant Patrick (Warburton) was spotted in line for Soarin’ Over California on the first day of its return for Disney California Adventure’s 25th Anniversary.
Patrick Warburton Goes Soarin’ Over California
While waiting for specific seats on Soarin’ Over California for filming reasons, our reporters spotted Warburton, accompanied by his entourage and a Tour Guide, being escorted onto the ride.
Warburton voiced Kronk in The Emperor’s New Groove and Mayor Winddancer in Zootopia 2, but is probably most well-known among Disney fans for playing Patrick, the Chief Flight Attendance in the safety pre-show before Soarin’.
Today, February 6 is the first day of Disney California Adventure’s 25th Anniversary celebration, which includes the return of the opening-day California overlay to the Soarin’ attraction along with exclusive characters, food, and merchandise.
Warburton will also be a Mardi Gras celebrity king this year with the Bacchus krewe in New Orleans. This year’s parade honors the country’s birthday with the theme “Bacchus Celebrates America 250.”
Soarin’ Over California
An opening day attraction at Disney California Adventure, Soarin’ Over California normally returns every year for California Adventure’s Food and Wine Festival in the spring. This year, the fan-favorite overlay, known for its non-CGI scenes and memorable scents of orange groves and pine forests, will stick around through July 1, 2026, when it will then be replaced with a brand-new overlay: Soarin’ Across America.

Chief Flight Attendant Patrick returned to announce the opening date for Soarin’ Across America, the commemorative overlay celebrating America’s 250th birthday coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World:
